2025 College Football Bets – Saturday October 4th (Early Games)

We had a big day last week. It was only a matter of time that the metrics and numbers led us to surf and turf instead of McDonalds. Early games were no sweat, with Notre Dame, Duke and Cincy winning easily. But cashing against the public with Alabama and Oregon tasted the sweetest. VIRGINIA TECH…

2025 MLB Playoffs – Divisional Round Day #1 Best Bets

The first round of the MLB Playoffs was incredible, with three of the four series going to a decisive final game. It ended with the Yankees getting an all-time pitching performance from rookie Cam Schlitter. In over a century of baseball, no starting pitcher has ever thrown 8+ innings with 0 earned runs, 0 walks,…

2025 MLB Playoffs – Wild Card Round Best Bets Day 3

For the first time since MLB expanded the playoffs to 12 teams, multiple Wild Card series are heading to a Game 3. Previously, only two out of twelve series ever reached a Game 3. Today, that number is surpassed with three crucial matchups that will determine the fate of six teams. The drama and excitement…

2025 MLB Playoffs – Wild Card Round Best Bets Day 2

We saw some great baseball games yesterday in the start of the MLB Playoffs. Tarik Skubal was at the top of his game, recording 14 K’s against the Guardians and holding them to just one run. Garrett Crochet threw 117 pitches on his way to 11 K’s and a win in the Bronx. The aces…

2025 MLB Playoffs – Wild Card Round Best Bets

One of the best days of the MLB season is here. Playoff baseball is spread across four cities, featuring eight teams and over ten hours of intense, high-quality action. I wrapped up the regular season with some good fortune, as the Giants’ four-game win streak to close out the year gave me a perfect 4-0…

2025 College Football Bets – Saturday September 27th (Early Games)

We took a hit in Week 3 but had a steady Week 4. Today’s slate gives us some of the biggest games of the season and we can’t wait to bet those. But before we do that, there are a few early games that I’m attacking. So let’s get right to it as we head…

Biography

As a kid I loved watching the local sports teams. I can remember the first Phillies Game I watched in person was when Mike Schmidt ran out to play 3rd base with a wig on. I didn’t get it at the time, all I knew is that I was watching a legend, in a not-so legendary stadium. Then the first Eagles Game I went to in person was against the Washington Redskins. The Eagles WR Calvin Williams caught a game-winning TD pass from QB Randall Cunningham. I never heard a place so loud. My first Sixers game, well that’s when the Chuck Wagon used to roam the Spectrum floor boards. And the Flyers, I remember going early to watch pregame warmups and Washington Capitals defenseman Al Iafrate slapped a shot into the stands the nailed a spectator and bloodied their lip! That was well before nets were installed behind the goals. Those were the legendary days of Rick Tocchet and Tim Kerr.

Since then, I turned this love of sports into a hobby. I was first on the air as a teenager and into my young 20’s on a local NJ radio station. Then I turned that into website development, writing, and eventually into podcasting where I started 4th & Go, a Philly “4 for 4” Plus More show.

Today, I contribute regularly for Win Daily Sports at www.windailysports.com. I also provide content for Heat Ratio Sports at their YouTube Channel. You can also hear me on Sirius Radio every Sunday night from 7 to 9 pm (Channel 87).

Finally, you may ask why Bell Ringer Sports? It’s so ironic that I, Dave Gloeckner, fell in love with the city that has the most famous bell as a monument. My heritage is from Germany and in that country a Gloeckner (Glöckner) is a well-known figure in their church. In fact, it is the little boy/girl that runs up the tower to ring the bell. Can’t make this stuff up. Glöckner – Wikipedia
