We took a hit in Week 3 but had a steady Week 4. Today’s slate gives us some of the biggest games of the season and we can’t wait to bet those. But before we do that, there are a few early games that I’m attacking. So let’s get right to it as we head into Week 5 of the College Football season.
NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH -4 at ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS
The Fighting Irish travel to Arkansas to take on an explosive Razorbacks team. And from what we’ve seen with Notre Dame, they struggle to keep pace with high octane offenses. However, my concerns with Arkansas are on the defensive side, as they are 81st in yards allowed and 87th in rushing yards allowed per game. This is the exact type of opponent that the Irish like to press their running game against and dominate the time of possession. And while the playoffs are a long shot, those hopes would be dashed with a 3rd loss. So this makes it a must win game for Notre Dame and one that I think they will dominate in the trenches and come away with a big win in the deep south.
DUKE BLUE DEVILS -4 at SYRACUSE ORANGE
Syracuse scored another major upset last week against Dabo and the boys and are now 3-1 overall. So why are they home dogs to a Blue Devils team that is just 2-2 and has lost big to Illinois (who just lost by over 50 points to Indiana)? It’s because of the running game advantage that Duke has against a Cuse D that is allowing 158.8 yards rushing per game, good for 91st in the Nation.
