We had a big day last week. It was only a matter of time that the metrics and numbers led us to surf and turf instead of McDonalds. Early games were no sweat, with Notre Dame, Duke and Cincy winning easily. But cashing against the public with Alabama and Oregon tasted the sweetest.

ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE -11.5 vs VANDERBILT COMMODORES
The Commodores had the upset of the century last year when they knocked off the Crimson Tide. And since then, Alabama has this game circled, highlighted and written in bold. Add to that, Vanderbilt is coming in with some talk and you have a classic situation for a big blowout even though the teams are both ranked in the top 16.
SMU MUSTANGS -17.5 vs SYRACUSE ORANGE
The Orange looked terrible last week against Duke. So we’re going back to the well and attacking a very weak rush defense against a high powered rushing attack. SMU is built like Duke, with a running heavy QB, but better. Add to that, SMU hasn’t covered a game yet this year. They’re due for a big one and I see that coming today for the Mustangs.
